They could have done it better and they could have been less obvious, but in the end it did work, mostly because Nestor Carbonell CAN ACT. I agree, and I expected him to be older. But like you said, it did work.
Still, since they didn't grace us with the mib's name, UGH SERIOUSLY. I WANNA KNOW because "MIB" just makes me think of Will Smith fighting aliens.
