I know that public school in the US isn't exactly this shiny thing The really ridiculous part of it is that whatever school this is would still be a really rich public school. She lives on Fifth Avenue in the 70s or so. That's sort of how it works out here, where rich neighborhoods have good schools, and poor neighborhoods have shitty schools. She would not be the only rich girl in the class. The girl who was bullying her has parents who can afford to pay the rent/mortgage to live in the same neighborhood as Juliet.
I was just as outraged as you are about Bridget's stupidity leaving the fingerprints, but lots of people have since told me that I misunderstood. Apparently, you were supposed to understand that Bridget did it on purpose, that she's trying to throw her actual identity under the bus in order to protect her new life as Siobhan. It's a big deal because she's framing "Bridget", which is supposed to signify that she has no interest in going back to being that person?
