Yay! This makes a brilliant companion piece to elliots original fic. Very fitting that hers centred on Jack while yours centred on Sawyer (two sides of the same coin, etc). This second part with the iconic card games was lots of fun. Very warm and charming.
I was sooo rooting for Dessie to win. Bless him! I loved Charlie declaring himself to be a poker champ (which he obviously wasn't), then losing with the dead mans hand (very poetic) and then being so *cough* gracious in defeat. It's so in character for Charlie to try too hard to impress and then fail spectacularly. I also loved Sawyer nicknaming Charlie after so many english bassists and druggie musicians (you do know your music!). I loved the idea that Rose kicks ass at poker. And most of all I loved the eerie hint of the poker game being "observed" linking it to the photograph.
