Changed layout again. All last episode. And I think this one's going to last *loves madly all the people in there*
Then, before I head out for stuff, meme!
I totally stole this one from
bobbinrob because it was waaay too awesome. I didn't edit a thing and some of them are probably crap, but there are a couple I'm pretty okay with. And hell, how are you supposed to write something coherent with Love Me Do?
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.
Of course, I did Lost.
1. Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
Charlie never was a great Stones fan, truth to be told; Beatles had always been his favorites coming to think about it. But now, as he stands under the rain of Claire’s tent, water pouring down and thunder roaring above their heads, he holds her body against his while she holds Aaron and Gimme Shelter comes into his mind, suddenly, as a flash. Claire’s body is warm, she trembles just a bit and he gives her just a light kiss, brushing his lips agains hers, feeling a shiver going through his body. He likes to think he’s giving her shelter, like she’s giving him shelter and like they’re giving shelter to Aaron together. He still isn’t sure she loves him like he does, but maybe, love is just a kiss away. He likes to think something among these lines.
2. Growin’ up – Bruce Springsteen
When he crashed on the island, Sawyer had a kind of precise idea of what kind of man he was. Speaking in past tense, because now he really isn’t that sure he know. He lived by a single, simple rule, which was mind your own business, stick with it, don’t think about anything else. He doesn’t know when he stopped sticking to it, or better, when he began to ignore it from time to time, until he found out he actually was doing something for others and that he actually liked it. Sometimes he thinks the island has forced him to grow up, in some way. Maybe he found the key to the universe with it, or some shit like that. What he knows, is that he isn’t forcing himself to ignore this, not anymore.
3. You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Kate knows that what she’s doing isn’t right, not at all. She knows that going from Jack to Sawyer and from Sawyer to Jack isn’t good for either of them. She knows that Sawyer suffers because of it and that Jack has suffered even more when she finally gave in. But Sawyer is what she knows, Jack is what she wants to be and this confuses the hell out of her. Sawyer knows that she is using him and it makes her kind of feel ashamed; but then again, he takes what she gives. That’s why she goes to him every time; she knows that with Jack, after the cages, the damage is done and that she has probably shot him through the heart, for good. Of course this had to happen when she thought she knew exactly what she wanted; but Kate has an idea that she never knows what she wants until it’s too late. She’s to blame, alright, but they have both played her game, in the end.
4. Glitter in their eyes – Patti Smith
Charlie leaves Liam’s house completely enraged. It isn’t that he turned his back on Charlie, or that he’s straightened himself after completely fucking his life up; is that he can’t take out from his sodding brain the image of Liam singing when they still weren’t famous and where playing was still fun and what they were meant to do, not a contractual obligation. He remembers when they spent hours in the dressing room putting that damn glitter eyeliner over their eyes, how thrilled he was to see a crowd wearing the same exact make up swinging along their music, which was much better than their smashing it. That song, that song was glitter for them. But not all that glitters is gold, Charlie thinks while he leaves.
5. House of fire - Alice Cooper
Every time Sawyer touches Jack, by accident, his hand burns.
He doesn’t know how it is, why it happens, while he actually feels on fire. It happens also when Jack touches him for something. It happened when he was bandaging his arm, it happened when he was nursing his shoulder, even if he doesn’t have much clear memories of that. He only remembers every inch of his body burning and it makes him uneasy. It never happened with someone, during his whole life.
Then one day it happens, just for a chance, when no one is around and they’re both in the jungle for different business; they start arguing and they end up kissing.
It’s all fire from then on, his body is feverish and hot, he burns every time that Jack’s hands brush his skin, with every single touch. He likes it, he likes it far too much and he can’t stop Jack, not if he had to try. He likes this kind of burning.
6. Love me do - The Beatles
For Desmond, it was never a case of I like her, or of She’s interesting, or of We could try, why not?; from the first second he saw Penny, he knew he was in love with her and from the third day he had the total assurance of the righteousness of his intuition. He loves her, plain and simple; she loves him back, though he doesn’t still know how it can be possible for it to happen so fast and so smoothly. It happened, though. He doesn’t complain.
7. I still miss someone - Johnny Cash
Sawyer sips his beer and takes a look around.
Jin and Sun are embracing, Charlie and Claire are kissing lightly, a light breeze shakes the trees, Hurley is probably lingering in that truck; everyone seems so happy, so in love.
He sips his beer and can’t help thinking about two days ago and about Kate saying that she wanted to wipe the state clean.
He wonders if she remembers it, if she meant a thing of everything that happened. He wishes he could get over it soon, but he knows it isn’t going to be that easy. He almost misses that cage, where he was sure that she felt something for him.
Maybe there’s someone else for him somewhere; he misses her nonetheless.
8. Psycho Killer - Velvet Revolver
Juliet can’t bring herself to sleep. The roll she uses as a bed in her new tent feels like fire, she doesn’t want to think about what she’s going to do in three days, she’s tense, she’s nervous, she’s like a wire ready to snap. She knows it’s the only way of getting off, to see his sister, to leave this place.
She only has to betray them all.
It’s not them all, though. She can’t finish a serious conversation with Jack, knowing it; she knows that tomorrow she’s not going to pay attention to anything else. She only wants to run away and hide some place where she doesn’t have this kind of burden on her shoulders.
She doesn’t care about betraying them all as a group though, she couldn’t care less.
Juliet cares only about betraying Jack. He has trust in her, she can see him, even if he doesn’t have a single reason to and he’d better not, except he does.
She knows that she’s going to kill him when she betrays him, because he’ll be dead to her and to his other friends in the camp and it’s the thought of doing this to him that threatens to stop her. She doesn’t know what to do. She only knows she doesn’t want to do what she has to and it’s the first time in three years she doesn’t only care about what’s better for her.
9. The price you pay - Bruce Springsteen
Boone knows that with every decision there’s a price to pay.
With Shannon, he always took the chances that were given him and it was by his own choice. After Sydney, he couldn’t sleep at night for a week and it wasn’t because of the plane crash, not at all. The more it seemed like a mistake, the more he knew he was willing to pay for it. He knows he can’t walk away from it; Shannon doesn’t and she walks away from it, alright.
That’s what he hates, that for her it didn’t happen, or so it seems. For him it has happened, alright. He’s paying the price on sleepless nights, dreams of lips that taste like melted sugar and every possible kind of guilt he could feel rising through his body. She isn’t and it makes him so mad, he can’t even wrap his head about it.
He doesn’t want to think that he is never going to get past it; but he knows that he probably isn’t and it’s not a situation he can bring himself to make peace with.
After Locke, it seems like he has definitely thrown it away and he decides to believe it because it’s easier like this. It’s easier to think this than admitting he doesn’t want to pay that price anymore and that everything is still there, under a couple of frail layers ready to fall at the first good thing she’ll do to him.
He confides in the fact that she isn’t going to do him any good anytime soon.
10. November Rain - Guns n' Roses [longer but hey, NINE MINUTES of song! Yay! XD]
Her body is still warm, even if Sayid knows she’s isn’t really there anymore and that it’s going to be cold too soon, much too soon; the rain still pours down on them both and it’s cold.
He thinks he has never been under a rain so cold, but maybe it’s the situation.
Sayid thinks he can remember the look in her eyes their first times, when she was restrained most of all even if she was much too good at hiding it.
It had been too short and when everything seemed to be fine, a blow had come.
He still can’t forgive himself for having brought her on that picnic that night of all, he still doesn’t want to think about damn visions ruining the moment in which they had both relented and made peace with everything that happened.
Sayid guesses he’s going to need much time on his own from now on. He doesn’t think he’s going to be able to even speak to someone on normal terms.
Shannon’s body trembles, or so it seems, but Sayid knows that it’s more a matter of his arms trembling and not of anything else. She’s past trembling now and he’s so enraged he can’t even think straight. He always thinks straight, it’s his best quality, or so he thought. Now he’s totally uncapable of doing such a thing and this scares him most than the dead weight in his arms.
He wants to think that it’s all a nightmare, or a joke, or something like that. He knows it isn’t and he knows that even if love comes and goes at its own speed, this isn’t going to fade soon.
His only consolation is that she had wanted to love him and that she hadn’t refrained for it.
But now there’s only November rain falling around him and chilling his bones, because it’s November, or so he thinks. He lays her down and stands up.
Sayid doesn’t really care for much, right now.
A/N: I really don't like how the Desmond one and the first Sawyer one came out but well, I didn't reflect on it much XD and I wrote Kate. Again. What's with me?
