They're back. My team awesome is back. And the captain helps them (seemingly so) and I mean pantry with space and food for two? And Sayid is plotting. And they're back. And Desmond. Oh Desmond. Oh Desmond. Oh my plot bunnies. I mean, I try all afternoon to write Des/Claire confrontation fic and it's rubbish and now one minute of sneak peek and my fingers itch.
Oh Locke, thanks for existing and for making your episodes awesome even if you aren't so awesome anymore.

Sorry, I'm blathering. I realize it. They just make me too happy for words and it just sucks that three more episodes and I'll have to spend nine months to plot their reunion. But whatever. I don't care. They're back next week, thanks Jacob. Oh Desmond. Finally I'm seeing you again after two months. It's been too long.

In others news, I had a breakthrew today, courtesy of Dr. Shephard Sr. - of all people, that allowed me to complete a draft of my fanon as canon story of yours. It's definitely more sombre than crack but there are some moments I hope people will find amusing.

By the the number of explanation marks in the LJ cut line I'm guessing they reveal one of two big things but I don't (do, but don't) want to know. If you've seen them, can you tell me are the pics spoilery or are they just pretty?

I had wanted to write it for two months but procrastinated because I wouldn't have treated Claire fairly but now it'd be an AU, I don't like it, I'm not treating her fairly anyway and I just can sense that it doesn't work. Argh, I'll probably have to ditch it for now.

\O/ HELL YES! *does the happy dance* Isn't he just the most cooperative little pretty thing ever? Now you got me damn excited, can't wait to read it! And yeah, he's a dream indeed. I think that he just wants recognition and so when you give it to him he just comes easily, or at least that's how it is for me. *sighs*

Date: 2008-05-04 12:44 pm (UTC)It'll be another few weeks at least before I get back to my Undead fic. I might wait till the show has gone away, because 90% of the time it just gets me down. But yeah, Boone's POV has really saved this fic. I started off using Alex POV but it was too depressing, as was Charlie POV. Danielle POV I didn't even want to contemplate. Then I tried with Boone and...he was so zen! He was able to be sensitive, thoughtful, but also completely calm about the situation, which is what I needed. And I'm totally squishing on Boone/Charlie.

First it had to take place between the Economist and Eggtown giving that Des took a trip to the Barracks before leaving, then it had to be post finale with them staying at the Barracks, then the Barracks got destroyed last week and I tried doing it post finale with them staying in the Temple but the setting already feels forced and doesn't convince me. Anyway it basically goes like this. Des has both the list and the ring (let's say he took it from the cradle before going on the freighter because he had thought it was going to get lost otherwise) and tries to give them to her, only she's been avoiding him every time he tries. So I start when he decides to get it over for good, he forces her to listen to him, she starts blaming him for Charlie dying, he kinda loses it and throws both list and ring at her leaving and goes on his own, then after some time she comes back, says she's sorry and he didn't deserve it. Then they talk about it for some time and I had this idea that in the end they both saw ghost!Charlie for one second or two but as things are now I'm making her seem like an ungrateful idiot and it really wasn't my target, Des is thinking in clichés and it just looks forced. *sighs* Maybe it's because canon has totally confused me on how I should have written it but I just can't get it the way I want.
OMG I can believe that Alex/Charlie/Danielle would've been too depressing! I'm sure he's a total darling with everyone there. And hey, an ex pacifist has to be zen right? ;) and BRING ON the Boone/Charlie! They're so afterlife boyfriends.. ;)

Boone doesn't believe in guns and now his afterlife realm is over-run with people who have suffered indescriminate gun deaths. Boone is especially dismayed by Alex's execution style death. There is also a little flashback to living!Boone in 'Daddy Issues' when he joined the trek to rescue Charlie/Claire. The idea is that Boone always wanted to save innocent hostages/pawns from other peoples conflicts. So now Boone is doing this in the afterlife. He is still the liberal humanitarian. Anyway, I'll try not to take too long, because I think you'll really like this story!
