I'M DONE WITH EXAMS UNTIL SEPTEMBER WHEN IT'S TWO EASY ONES. YES. YES. YES.

Sorry, I needed to vent.

Also, best scene in the history of ever, though not really.

Professor's assistant: okay, we did Kant, we did Hegel, now, what about some Heidegger?
Me: uuuh. *bats eyelashes* Whyyy don't we, uh, do Benjamin instead?
Him: why, you'd like him better?
Me: eeeer... yes? *bats eyelashes some more*
Him: okay. So, Benjamin?

... I swear, if I had known it'd be THIS easy to avoid the idiot I'd have not bothered with ONE WEEK studying him only and I'd have done the rest better but who cares.

Hai, luau prompts I didn't fulfill, in the next three days you're so mine. Well, fandom and writing in general, I can stop neglecting you. \o/

That said, HAAAAAAAAAI. *waves* Now I'll be much more present, lol. ;)

1. First thing, HAAAI new friends from the [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee friending meme! And also the SPN ones that I made in other ways. ;) I hope you will have a good time here! <3

2. Lost speaking, if you're in Lost fandom, the most awesome [livejournal.com profile] haldoor is hosting a Lost love meme ♥ which totally made my morning/day/afternoon and is just as awesome as usual, so go play if you haven't already! ♥ And I'm so excited for the luau starting tomorrow. :D [to people not here for Lost: next month will be full of Lost related stuff. Skip it if needed. ;)]

3. I seriously, seriously hope that no one reading this will ever be in a position that implies having to read Heidegger talking about Medieval philosophy. Way to unite my two worse nightmares. Also, that exam will be the death of me but I just need to think that after that it's another two and they're easy. Though damn, I wish I had taken this in the first year.

4. Anyway, on to more cheering things. Uh. That long-ass fic I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang? It... uh. It generated spontaneous art. Which is also freaking gorgeous. I swear when [livejournal.com profile] _izu_ linked that to me I stared for a while being like no, I made it up in my head. WHAT. It never happens that people draw something because they like shit I write. It might have totally done my day yesterday. Now I feel like I should make myself an account on DA just to thank them personally because really.

5. That said, I promised [livejournal.com profile] wandersfound that I'd upload some Stone Temple Pilots for her so there it is under the cut. Two records and random songs, all on mediafire because it was more convenient for me but I can put them somewhere else if needed.

music here. Quite a lot. )

6. Right now, I should be writing that pedagogy thing. Clearly I'm not doing that but I'll try to stop procrastinating after posting this. Whyyy do I even need to take that, whyy. /quits whining

7. Also, Misha Collins will be at jus in bello again next year! :D Guess who is going to get herself an early, early birthday present when they sell photo ops? *cough*

8. Aaand okay, this is probably all for now. Will try to write my pedagogy presentation while trying not to fall asleep over it and thinking it's for my own good. *repeats mantra*

1. HI EVERYONE! Er. I realized I haven't made a real entry in ages, ha. Ah well, let's catch up?

2. Basically, I spent this week writing like a madwoman, between the five acts meme and the bigbang which I still need to finish, but at the least I'm at 21000 words now, so I'm done on the wordcount bit. At least that. Also, I have totally missed doing the SPN/VD reaction post. Maybe this evening?

3. Classes on Saturday morning are the worst idea ever. One of those currently concerning Heidegger = ARGH. I can't wait for this round of classes to be done. Then I have exams and then I'll have to write my bachelor thesis and thankfully I won't have to attend classes until I actually graduate.

4. Point three related, stuff re said graduation which might get long-ish so I'm cutting it )

5. Shortly regarding point three: Heidegger is insufferable. Always was, but I had managed to avoid him until now. Thankfully it's about what he thought about art, because if it had been something more... well, considering that he's been on Heidegger since last week and 'we're just beginning to grasp what he means as thingness of things', I don't want to know how it'd have been if it was on his main stuff. Euuugh.

6. Meme from [livejournal.com profile] bold_seer <3!

the five questions one )

7. You know when I said I'd do one convention and then I'd be happy with it? I lied. Next year I'm totally going to Jus In Bello part II. I just hope someone from university remembers that I have some 125 hours to spend in their service because I'll need money. *cough* Ah well. I had too much fun at first. Yes, totally not relevant for now, but.

8. I realized that I have 23 people who friended me whom I didn't friend back because either they didn't ask or I couldn't guess why they would want to friend me. Er. Hi? Tell me if I should friend you back or anything? I don't bite. Really. ;)

9. That said, now I'll go answer comments I should've answered a WEEK ago (sorry. RL: busy) and then write some more. Idek what, probably the bigbang because I need a finished story in a week, but I still have some five acts meme stuff and a free afternoon. ;)

10. In conclusion: HI! I hadn't really done non-fandom posts in too much of a long time.

1. Point 1 and 2 are what I'm now calling the proof that today is a good day.

potential HEAVY Lost casting spoiler, you probably guessed what it is already but still, cutting it. )

2. Point is, point 1 came and made the day more awesome, but it had already started awesome. Okay, now I'll probably pass for the seriously insane fangirl, but anyway. So, yesterday Chad Lindberg of SPN fame (I reiterate: Ash used to be my favorite character before he, er, died *sigh*) reaches 2000 followers on Twitter. I congratulate him on the achievement, then go to bed. Then I wake up and he has answered me and wished me an awesome weekend.

The actor playing my former favorite SPN character actually wished me an awesome weekend. How freaking cool is this guy? *____* Damn. I miss Ash like crazy. And I kinda wish he'd go to the con we'll have here *crosses fingers*. Because if he does... no but anyway, he tweeted back at me!! *is still ecstatic*

3. Okay, again with the caring is sharing meme...

For one week, recommend/share:
Day 1: a song
→ Day 2: a picture
Day 3: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day 4: a site
Day 5: a youtube clip
Day 6: a quote
Day 7: whatever tickles your fancy

Today's picture won't probably mean anything if you're not into Jersey people/music (I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] wandersfound is laughing her a** off now at my ridiculous Jersey love), but I found it while I was searching for one and it's like, all the best Jersey music/cinema can offer in one shot. The quality is kinda crap but...

I mean. JBJ, Southside Johnny, Danny De Vito, Little Steven AND Bruce?

Yeah, I'm a girl obsessed with people from NJ. No news.

4. Today I went to see Videocracy. My only reaction: I really want to emigrate. And that's all I'm saying for now on the matter. For now.

5. Blah. I need to start writing again. Last week between medieval idiotic philosophers and stuff I didn't manage to get a full sentence down and a) it feels weird b) knowing myself the more I make it last the more I'll be lazy and considering that I have 50000 words of two fics to write before October 31st, three Lost things I want to have as late luau stuff even if I'm seriously late at this point, the SPN/GO crossover of doom which is still not done at +20000 words and at least another three fics I really want to write... I should stop being lazy. St. Thomas Aquinas doesn't put you in the mood to write slash though. (not to mention, Medieval stuff in general will probably kill any porn muse you might have. I think it's that.) *sigh* I just hope that all the theology crap I have to study will turn helpful with SPN stuff someday. Right now? Bo-ring.

5b. me asking an opinion about a probably supremely blaspheme SPN pairing I don't know if I want to write or not, cut for sparing non SPN people. )

6. Okay, I'll go answering stuff I should have answered two days ago and then I'll probably go reading some book which doesn't refer in any slightest way to God's intellect/free will, human intellect or anything concerning how Aristotle was really a Christian without knowing it. *roll eyes* *waves*

1. European elections in two days. And I don't even know who the hell are the candidates except for one. Also, I'll probably go voting with my head again and I probably will want to vent come Monday. Blah. If I think about how excited I was about voting when I still couldn't vote I feel like crap. :/

2. But, yesterday I went and just took my way-too-old copy of Norton antivirus out of the computer (I have another one anyway) and... er. It hadn't been so fast in... one year or so. It's way faster, it doesn't crash as much as before and it didn't take ten minutes to load, this morning. Duh. Had I known it before I'd have taken it off six months ago.

3. third vampire diaries trailer under the cut! )

4. I finished Anansi Boys, which only confirmed my opinion that Neil Gaiman is too awesome for this world. Except that I think that I've read everything he has written except Stardust which I probably will skip because it's just not my thing. But still. This one was awesome.

5. I stand of my opinion. Everyone says that Heidegger is the greatest philosopher of this century because no-one ever understood a thing of what he meant except maybe Heidegger himself.

6. I finally managed to listen to Steve Earle's latest record and OMG!! ♥ Fine, it's all covers and I need to find the originals but OMG! It's SO good!! *draws hearts*

7. So, I should probably go buying groceries. Then go studying whatever Kant has to do with history of medicine. And then post fic from one of those two kink memes sometime this afternoon. And meanwhile trying to finish one fic that I intend to enter for the fix-it challenge at [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee. Or at least the first draft. Which means I'll be off after this incredibly interesting entry.

8. But, I'll leave you with this awesome thing that popped up some Bruce community last day.

Robert De Niro stole his famous "You talkin' to me?" Taxi Driver movie line from rock legend Bruce Springsteen. The line, which De Niro's character recites to himself in the 1976 Martin Scorsese movie, has become one of the most famous movie quotes of all time.

And the acting legend has confessed it was inspired by a trip to a Springsteen concert, while he was preparing for the role.
De Niro made the admission to Springsteen's bandmate Clarence Clemons - who coached the actor to play the saxophone for movie New York, New York. Clemons tells the New York Daily News, "(He) had been to one of our concerts and the audience was yelling out 'Bruce!' In those days, Bruce would stop onstage and say, 'You talkin' to me?' "De Niro was kind of channeling him."

I mean, it's not like Bruce didn't have an already divinity-like status with me, but this? I mean. ♥

1. Bureaucracy is bad. I mean, in order to take photocopies from this book I need for this exam it takes me twenty minutes of filling forms and stuff just to have it for half an hour. I take it, I do the photocopies, after I return it I realize that I forgot two pages. Do they give it back to me for five seconds so that I can do them without all the mess?

Clearly not. *headdesk* Tomorrow, I guess.

2. Also, the university site lets me in at home, but from the university it says that my password is wrong. Which can't be because it's the same I have at home obviously, but... *headdesk*

3. BTW, Heidegger was an idiot. And I mean it. Even if the awesomeness of my new icon makes up for me having to deal with him and his belief that biology doesn't exist. Of course.

4. My PM is more of an idiot than Heidegger, though. And it takes quite some. But this isn't really the place and if I rant about him then I need a post and I have to go back to studying so not for now.

5. OTP meme which everyone is doing. And since I'm a sheep... ;) This one I took from [livejournal.com profile] hopelessfangirl.

Name your 15 absolutely favorite couples (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms.

otps here, hiii the slashing! )

6. The Dean/Castiel kink meme is made of evil. I say, evil. I'm not supposed to write fic until Friday. Or I'm supposed to write the fic I owe, dammit. Clearly I have no force of will.

7. Also, I think I had an idea for a Good Omens/Supernatural crossover of doom. I had half of it written in my head while I was getting back from university but I need to think it out, especially because I have the first half but no freaking idea about the second.

8. That said, pointless entry done. I'll be on to studying and from tomorrow I'll be revising. Hoping that the university site/book lending both cooperate.

Also? Where did spring go? It's freaking HOT. It's like, August, except not.

I had read the fist of these during the Barcelona trip and the second, the last three days. And since I want to vary my entries' content.. ;) Of course they couldn't be more different from each other.

Oh, and the Italian translations for the S3 Lost episodes are downright hilarious. What the hell does Flashes Before Your Eyes have to do with Dejà Vu? Because that's how they translated it. I don't think I'd have ever given it a minute of my attention had I watched it dubbed/in the Italian version first.

That said, I'll be back on the Hume and women thing. He wasn't even sexist. How do I love Hume? The real one, the real one.

Thing is, for my class of Moral Philosophy (for which I have to take two exams) I have to make a sort of small thesis giving the second exam. Which isn't anything too crazy since I only have to find an article in English, summarize it and do a relation about it. Now, I could do it either about Hobbes, Locke or Hume. Goes unsaid that I picked Hume (and not for entirely shallow reasons, he's my favorite of the three anyways) and don't ask me why but I ended up deciding to do it about an essay he did where he talked about women's condition. Problem is, I have to bring three or four articles to choose from and on the net I could find only one. Result: I spent five hours in the library this morning going through an index of all the English philosophical publications in various philosophy magazines from 1971 until 2002 searching for articles about Hume and women and feminism and stuff. What's the funny thing about that?

At one point I was more or less around 1988 and I find an article in the index. Titled Time Travel and Panormal. Then after staring at it for five minutes, I go to the end where there was a recap of what the article was about and I find out that it said that for Hume time travel was pure nonsense. But it was written in response to someone that said the contrary, aka that Hume said that time travel could happen.

Now, the point isn't that the guy who wrote the response was right because the real Hume would have said that it was pure idiocy. The point is that it was damn hilarious. If only it wasn't an effort of epic proportions to get the librarian to fish out those two magazines I'd totally get a kick out of reading that stuff. I mean, Hume and time travel.

And now I'm back there to actually discuss the feminism/women stuff, hoping he's alright with it. Also because after finding four articles on the matter from 1971 to 2002 I'm not too eager to start again.

So, first thing of the day..

hope you like it XD I had run out of cake pics ;)

that said, I've begun a seminar at university. The subject?

David Hume.

Though Hume wasn't at all a nice looking person I really can't help picturing Desmond in 700th century clothes rambling with that accent of his about the fact that suicide is legitimate.

I can't think about when he'll do Locke. I'll laugh hard.
